Pam Wedd of Bearwood Canoes has been building and restoring wooden canoes since 1989. She is dedicated to preserving the traditional craft of wooden canoe building in Canada and is a charter member of the Wooden Canoe Builder’s Guild.

Each canoe that leaves the shop, whether it is a new canoe, a restoration or a recanvassing, reflects her commitment to excellence. Pam also offers canoe and repair/restoration classes.

The shop is 25 minutes east of Parry Sound on Highway 518, five kilometres past the village of Orrville on the right side of the highway. Drop in to see the building process or to go for a trial paddle; the Seguin River flows right past our back door.
