"We take the time to care for your lawn, so you have more time to enjoy it!"

Elliot Lake Lawn Care has been in operation for over 15 years and has grown to serve almost 1000 customers seasonally. We continually strive to offer the best possible service, at a reasonable price. We are proud of the quality of all our work and customer satisfaction is our first priority. We use only professional quality fertilizers and other products in order to keep lawns looking their best. The following is a list of the services we currently provide;

  • Aerating

    We have a professional quality hollow tine core aerator which removes plugs up to 3" deep. Most aeration is done in the spring or fall. Due to limitations of the equipment, some steep slopes, or ditches may not be accessible to the aerator.

  • Dethatching

    We have a commercial grade dethatcher to help remove the dead layer of thatch on your lawn. Benefits include increased air circulation, water and nutrient uptake, and less problems due to fungus and disease.

  • Grass Cutting

    We use walk behind bagging, mulching mowers. Cutting occurs on a regular weekly schedule, our crew is reliable, and careful. Payment may be based on a seasonal, or per cut basis.

  • Insect Control

    Common lawn insects include sod webworm, white grubs and chinch bug. NOTE: DUE TO RECENT CHANGES BY THE MCGUINTY LIBERAL GOVERNMENT (the Cosmetic Pesticide Ban) THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY EFFECTIVE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE TO CONTROL THESE PESTS ON HOME LAWNS. ONLY AGRICULTURE, SOD FARMS, SPORTS FIELDS, GOLF COURSES, HORTICULTURE, FORESTRY, GREENHOUSE OPERATIONS ETC. ARE ALLOWED TO USE THESE HEALTH CANADA APPROVED PRODUCTS.

  • Fertilizing

    Our spring fertilizer is applied in liquid form in May. The summer and fall applications use slow release liquid fertilizers.

  • FIESTA Weed Control

    Applied in June after the spring fertilizer as a liquid. This new, fast acting product kills most broad leaf weeds.

  • Seeding and Sodding

    We can reconstruct existing lawns or install new lawns by seed or sod. Seeding is best accomplished in spring or early fall and requires a very good seed bed and constant watering. Sodding is a more convenient option, especially on slopes where erosion may be a concern. Sod is available throughout the summer. These projects include preparation of the seed bed, rolling, laying of sod (or seed) rerolling, and fertilizing.

  • Landscaping

    From foundation plantings to design and planting of large areas we can do it! We can help you select plants and materials that will result in a low maintenance landscape, with plants that are tolerant to our winters. View our BEFORE and AFTER pictures!

  • Pruning

    We prune apple and other fruit trees, hedges, tree branches, and remove small trees.
