Ontario Base Map (OBM) Series - medium scale mapping format designed to cover the Province at scales of 1:20 000 in Northern Ontario and 1:10 000 in Southern Ontario

Global Positioning System (GPS) - allows handheld units to use satellite signals to pinpoint locations on the earth's surface
· When obtaining coordinates using GPS units, please consult your manual and report full UTM, Zone (e.g., 17), and Datum (default usually set to WGS84)
· We would prefer that you collect the coordinates in NAD 27, however we will accept information in NAD 83.
