Welcome to my blog! This will include anecdotes about my experiences, celebrations at milestones big or small, and a look into my life as a gamer girl!

February 2018

This is the month that I have officially started my website (it has been years in the process)! Welcome, friends, acquaintances, rivals, and those just passing through, to Northern Gamer Girl! On this website I am hoping to give information to those who want to know tips and tricks that make things easier, want to know what kind of games an average gamer girl might like, and as a side-note some anime that she might like. I hope that you will enjoy this website as much as I have enjoyed working on it. So with that taken care of, let the blog begin!
This month I finally decided to get Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Crystal (the best of both worlds in both cases) on the Nintendo E-Shop. I do have the originals, but this makes it much easier and more accessible to play, and means that I will definitely have them for years to come, even if I need to get a new device. Unfortunately they did not have my favourites on the store (Ruby and Sapphire) due to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire coming out fairly recently, and the copies that I have the battery has been dry on for years (no timekeeping), so I cannot catch the Pokemon for one time of day. Hopefully they will be out soon (I don't want all of the fanciness of the new ones, I want the originals but with the timekeeping working). Anyways, so far in Pokemon Yellow I've beaten Brock. Took a while because I had to get my butterfree, but it was worth the wait. Due to the crazy busyness of school, I haven't been able to play many video games lately, but I'm hoping that when things calm down that could change. I've also been trying to participate in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, but unfortunately it isn't a very casual game. I miss out on event just because I don't have the time to log in every day for a week. The gardening events are still gruellingly hard, even with the changes in the RNG. The way they talk it seems like events have a possibility of coming back in the future, so I have my hopes that the items will be obtainable once more. Other than that, I don't really have much to write about, so I'll post again next month. See ya!
