ANNE THIBEAU

I was born in Germany and lived there till 1965.After graduating from a textile engineering school I worked as an assistant manager,fashion designer and professional buyer for a large clothing manufacturer.From my early childhood I was always interested in jewellery. After coming to Northern Ontario I was introduced to rocks and minerals and took courses in lapidary and silversmithing at Cambrian College in Sudbury.Over the years I have won many awards such as The Technical Excellence Award from SCARF and Falconbridge Nickel Mines also The Eaton Foundation Award for best design in Ontario.My Jewellery and lapidary work is a creative expression of my years as a designer,my ongoing interest in the beauty of gemstones and the intricate designs found in nature.

My motto is simplicity and quality.I enjoy the challenge to try new techniques and designs.I love to get so involved in my work that I become oblivious to everything else.My goal is that my jewellery becomes part of a persons life and be worn with pride and joy.
