The Crean Hill gun Club was formed in 1965 by employees working at Inco`s Crean Hill Mine. The club was given use of an Inco gravel pit near the mine and remained there until 1967. At this time the membership purchased their own property on Grassy Lake Road in the Township of Louise. In 1978, with the assistance of Wintario funding, the club purchased 160 acre parcel of land in Drury Township. After selling a portion of the land back to Inco, the club`s current 140 acre property now holds four outdoor ranges and a clubhouse with kitchen facilities, washrooms and a meeting hall. The club also has a 25 yard indoor range, which is the  most modern facility in the North. Crean hill Club serves central and northern Ontario.

The clubhouse is the top photograph on the right. The 25 yard indoor range is the lower structure to the left of the main clubhouse.

The Crean Hill Gun Club has always been a non-profit organization, incorporated as a corporation without share capital. The affairs of the club are managed by a Board of Directors which is elected by the general membership on an annual basis. The club holds monthly membership and information meetings.

The club`s facilities are open for rent to organizations such as scouts, guides and cadets.
